I’m not discounting everything you said, but I do have to question the “execution” statement.
Execution implies intent. By your own description of shooter action, I have to question intent.
She was there illegally (not as a peaceful citizen) / wrong place / wrong time.

Through the last four years it seems like not many minds have been changed.
I simply can’t understand the tolerance for Trump and most of what he has done and stands for.
We can talk about individual events, but I see a bigger picture — I just wish we could all find some way back to the middle.
The last four years (especially) makes me think of the religious wars that have existed in the Middle East forever.
Has any side won? Could any side win? In most large conflicts, there is no way one side is going to have enduring victory.
It’s just a reality that different people are going to have different points of view. And those individuals will associate with like minded people. And thinking gets myopic.
People who tend towards xenophobia don’t want to have a global view. People with a global view can’t understand why there isn’t more tolerance and why conflict can’t be resolved. I’m not sure what my point is, but in a way it all seems kind of hopeless.
WWII united our country in a common goal. A few generations later, that’s evaporated.
You would think something like a global pandemic might bring people together, but apparently not. How bad does it have to get before we all see each other as brothers and sisters?
Personally, I don’t really like snowmobiles, but a lot of people do. When I’m out skiing and there they are, I do my best to smile and wave, because: 1. Usually, they have just as much right to be there as I do, and 2. I figure if I’m giving attitude, that’s what I’m going to get back.
And a lot of times, they are friendly people.
Unless I see what looks like evil, I try and live and let live.
The road to Hitler, Mussolini, Stalin, and McCarthyism is a slippery slope.
I think that slope is littered with people like Trump.
But that’s just me — you’re free to think what you like.
