Randoskier & everyone who has an ear,

That guy can't walk in Armstrong's footsteps.

I attempted to read the link but had to jump through hurdles I don't jump through... -So I know nothing about that guy.

However, Lance was the real deal. Cheated? Well... Considering all threats around Him was cheating... He took control. Made history, even if there are shadows where the sun shines.

But, I know, this thread isn't really about Lance. It's about another person and I don't know anything about that topic. Cycling is summer. & I have many mixed emotions about Lance Armstrong.

Jerry Kobalenko has an amusing list of "Top Ten Expedition BS":

http://kobalenko.com/expeditionsarchives2008.htm

Here are the ones I spot from that National Geographic story:

1. Faking an accomplishment.

2. Claiming something is a first, when it's not.

5. Hiding the fact that an expedition is guided.

6. Making an expedition sound harder than it is.

7. Motivational speaking.

It looks like Colin O'Brady manages to hit 5 out of 10. Maybe that is his real record? Makes Lance Armstrong look like a nice guy in comparison.

What is really disconcerting is that none of the major network television shows he made an appearance on seem to have done even the most cursory due diligence. No wonder no one trusts the "mainstream media" anymore.
