OK, so I got my Dale of Norway sweater off of Facebook marketplace so I can ski just like Telehiro and gain acceptance from peers on telemark forums. Because this is important. So anyways, my sweater rides a little high, how do I stretch it? Wash and hang? Manually stretch? Iron? Halp

The process is called “Blocking.”
All sorts of How-Tos on the Internet or YouTube videos.
Basic steps are to: wet the garment, lay it out to the shape you want, and let it dry — but, look it up for full details.
Then you will have my full admiration!

Ugh. Of course it's called "blocking". So triggering! I imagine it's as much of an art form as the pole plant. Is there forums?

Gonna do a big reveal of this bad boy at the bunniest of slopes. Picture me B Tele'n

Nice score on the Dale of Norway sweater! To stretch it, soak it in cold water for 15-20 minutes, gently squeeze out excess water, and lay it flat on a towel. Manually stretch it to your desired size, then let it air dry. Repeat if needed. Avoid hot water and ironing.

Nice sweater. In addition to the stretching, I would recommend looking for a pair of high waisted pants that are roomy enough to let you tuck the sweater into. Vintage wool from the 40's or 50's should fit the bill. Use a belt to hold the sweater down and suspenders to hold the pants up. I like the look and don't worry about the sweater riding up, even in a sliding fall.

Well now you know that the belt and suspenders serve two different purposes. As far as the trust thing goes, that may be true as I had heard on this very forum to never trust anyone that skis T4s.

Never trust anyone over 30...or who skis T4s.
