@bealem
I don’t know who you purchased the Alaska from, but I would attempt a return. I have a few seasons on my Alaska BC without leaks, although they have been treated with Hydrobloc. I also have an Alaska 75, w/o a lot of miles and yet untreated with Hydrobloc. Both boots have been in slushy snow. I have heard no complaints such as your’s. I think it is outside the norm.
Let us know what happens.
Hi Fisheater and thanks for your response. Do you have a link to Hydrobloc or where I could purchase some?
The store said to return them for a refund so that is my plan. I will talk to them to see if them will let me try another pair as it sounds like I got defective boots.

Judging by the box and that they don't have Alpinex membrane but rather SympaTex, I would venture to say these are oooold. Cost me $125. Sole flex is about the same, maybe just a bit stiffer, than Rossi bc x 10, which I tried on in same size. Could barely get my forefoot into the Rossis, too narrow. The 1600s seem to fit well in heel, bit tight in forefoot but leather will break in a little. Also fit great when removing footbed and using my 3/4 insert which made for more room in front.
