I do like the Rottefella but I would use Voile if plastic boots are on the menu, the parts are definitely a little beefier than the ST.

I've been pretty set on the RST cable binding for my next setup, but it does seem like climbing wires (I'm assuming this means the little tab you can flip up to reduce calf strain while climbing) would be a nice option.

Right, so now Voile makes two different versions of the 3 pin binding without cables:
One for 13-15 mm and one for 16-20mm duckbills

I'm pretty sure I did not see the 201 binding last time I browsed Voile site.
I suppose they realized that some boots did not fit so snugly in the standard HD mountaineer?

Easy enough to buy the Voile heel piece and climbing wire. Voile is a great company, and parts are readily availableᚠᚨᚱ ᚾᛟᚱᚦ ᛊᚲᛁᛖᚱ wrote: ↑Sat Mar 06, 2021 3:54 pmI've been pretty set on the RST cable binding for my next setup, but it does seem like climbing wires (I'm assuming this means the little tab you can flip up to reduce calf strain while climbing) would be a nice option.

That's what I did, got RST with cables in the front and ordered Voile heel pieces.fisheater wrote: ↑Mon Feb 07, 2022 10:13 pmEasy enough to buy the Voile heel piece and climbing wire.
