Finding the .455 & 3cm interesting. Had to hobble out and check my Metsäs- my boot center (size 44) is right around 113cm pins mounted at balance point. Using the .455 & 3cm puts me at about 119cm- roughly where my current pin point is on Xplore. I did already have the thought that moving them forward would help with control so I guess I’m contemplating drilling another set of holes (as much as I hate doing that) to hopefully enhance the great experiences I’ve already had with this ski.

Capercaillie, looks like I’ll be able to do that comparison next winter- should be interesting. I’ll have to rope someone else in to swap back n’ forth on the skis for comparison sakes. My money still says the Metsä will be the distance/flat area champ and Kom will be king on slopes n’ trails.

Little bit of a bummer, kinda damaged the back tip of the Metsä today. Can’t say I’m too surprised by it, likely happened when I was bushwhacking a new route in. Wish there was some kind of guard back there (think its referred to as a rental protector)) biut having said that I’ve broke those as well. It’s nothing a little Crazy Glue or Contact Cement won’t cure.
