meidjo ski stop- Major problem

Post by paolo.bordogna » Sun Feb 28, 2021 10:45 am

Hello : I have just bought Meidjo V3 plus the official meidjo ski stops. Here is the problem: snow gets under the boot, get iced and block the release of the ski stop. Result: in such a case if you fall the brace doesn't get activated and the ski doesn't stop. With a major risk for other skiers.

Did anyone got the same experience?

Thanks

Paolo

I've experienced that as well. Narrower skis seem more prone to the problem than on my wider skis.

I bought a roll of PTFE tape, similar to the tape that comes with the binding, but much cheaper.
one inch by 33 feet is $7.99 on Amazon:

Then I put it on all of the spots I thought snow would accumulate and it appears to have solved that problem, as well as the problem of snow packing under the boots.
