Nordic tour skating bonus

A few people might not know that if you have NNN BC boots, you can cheaply Nordic tour skate, with skates and bindings. Of course, you can buy one piece tour skates too, and I've even done it on skates with 3-pin bindings. On Ottawa's Rideau Skateway, it's common to use Nordic skating boots, NNN skate bindings. That's going to be lighter than NNN BC, but on 'wild ice', I'd prefer NNN BC.

If you're interested, look at the third page of the linked thread: equipment and safety advice. My equipment links are Canada oriented, because of where I am.
