FS - Scarpa F1 boots (bellows, compatible with TTS)
I have 2 pair of yellow Scarpa FI boots with the bellows. They are BSL 285mm, which is mondo size 25.0 or 25.5.
When used with the Telemark Tech System (TTS), they complete the lightest backcountry telemark set-up available, by far.
F1 Carbon; BSL 285mm; used, in great shape; $200
F1: BSL 285mm; new; $150

The F1's in 285 BSL correspond to 25.0-25.5.
But my memory is that the liners are thinner on the F1 carbons. Do you think the same BSL in the carbons corresponds to the same size in the F1?

Yes, the liners for the carbon boots are thinner. I think these are 25.5 in actual fit.

Hello!
Has anyone actually tried the Scarpa F1 carbon boot using the TTS binding system? I was able to find some F1s (lime, carbon) on Ebay and mailed from Greece (quite resourceful!) the the boots are quite stiff and the toe bellows aren't actually flexible but rather stiff! Almost for aesthetic and show over actual function! Any thoughts here??

I have an F-1 Race, which has the same boot lower as the F-1 Carbon. At my 190 lbs the flex is perfect. They do break in, and there a a couple guys on the other site that stockpile F-1 Carbons. I am pretty sure those guys are lighter than me.
My Race skis really well on Transit with the stock springs. I ski with the pivot in the most neutral position. I have heard other guys prefer the soft springs in the most active position.
FYI, I picked up a pair of F-1 from the same guy from whom you purchased the Carbon. The F-1 is a bit stiffer in the cuff, and quite a bit stiffer in the cuff. I don’t think I will have any problems. I’m not planning on reefing on the power strap to start out with.
@gabriel.patterson just so you see this
