Woodserson I'm brand new to xcb and I'm excited for the winter. I live in NH. This would be my first ski, I'm looking for something I can go exploring on. Not too concerned with speed but would be interested in learning some teleturns and enjoying the woods on the seacoast and in the the whites.

Hey there. Old thread but would these be appropriate for my 6'2", 220# frame?

I think 179cm would be too short for you. I'm 5'8" 135-145lbs and the 169cm S112 is perfect...which means the 179cm S98 would be pretty good for me (I have 185cm in other narrower skis which are a touch long but still turn well).
At 220lbs, there would be zero kick and glide and no flotation for you in deeper snow. If you want short skis below 190cm, look for something wider and more cambered for more efficient k&g, otherwise it will be a very slow slog...the fish scales will make it even worse. You will be walking with skis on when it is flat...unless that is your intent (I have used very short skis with heavy packs for long multiday traverses where this is fine and preferred).
This is just my opinion...but anyone else is welcome to chime in.
