WTB: cheap 75mm bindings (VT)
WTB: cheap 75mm bindings (VT)
Hi! broke kid here trying to replace my targas. anyone have some spare 75mm bindings kicking around?
the spring cans are seized to the cables and i can’t adjust them. i’ve tried penetrating oil and pliers to no avail. i’ve been riding this setup with the same size boots for a bit now and the tour heel just falls off due to the low spring tension i’ve also had them come off once in “ski mode” with a fully engaged heel throw. since i can’t adjust it and have had my ski fly off once or twice now because of it i’d really like something to replace them for my safety in the backcountry.
i’d be looking for something comparably solid to the targas because i’ll be riding them mainly in the backcountry but also love to ride bumps and generally ski hard. i’d love a 22 designs binding but they are totally out of my super low budget i’ve got like $20 to spare haha. so really any 75mm bindings that is somewhat new and robust that i can adjust to my boots (i rock a T1 size 7/8 shell). i really want to get back out there and if someone could help me out that would be super awesome.
thanks!!!!

If you can scratch together a bit more there is these for 40 CAD. Unfortunately they're in Banff so shipping might kill you

Not my ad unfortunately, if I had Targas I was willing to part with I'd send them for free but keeping mine for future use:)

There's a consignment store near me with some 75mm bindings, I can check it out after work tomorrow and let you know if I find anything good!

Try Craigslist.
Heres an ad from Boston with a set of Targas on Rossi rip chicks. $50.
Not my ad, so I don't know if the gear is still available.
Also, Try outdoor gear exchange in Burlington.

Thanks! I've been checking fb/craigslist for a bit now, surprisingly not a ton of stuff here binding-wise. I'll stop by OGE when I'm down that way, thanks for the recommendation.

Not my ad and it's from 10 weeks ago, but would these parts help? Bromont's not too far from the border.

EDIT to add: same seller also has a fb ad for a full set of Targas for 50 loonies (35 freedom bucks and change)

Where in VT?
I have an old set of Rivas you could have, they need heel throws but you might very well be able to move your targa heel throws over to them. Also an old set of Dynastars with Rottefella chilis on them.
Also saw these on eBay: https://www.ebay.com/itm/356468092587?_ ... R6yUkaGNZQ
