warm in Norway
Tad warm this year in Norway, all these pics are from day off, a rest day at midpoint cabin, the rest was white-out or for or blizzard, but still great fun. The old tracks are our pulk tracks from previous day (night actually, arrived 1.5hrs after sun had set). Skied up our old tracks to the pass and actually found my ascension skin that popped off the previous night and been plowe d unde rby my pulk, my wife's skis and her pulk then wind driven snow. The tail clip was sticking out.

Amazing pictures! It's not so warm here at the moment.

Yeah I saw that drop Roelant. I am about to leave for northern Finland and ski into Finnmark in Norway- in the Øvre Pasvik National park it was -28 c when I checked yr.no this morning and the long term forecast (very cold, no new snow) looks like it is setting up for real nice April skiing with fast snow and thick ice on the Pasvik River and the surrounding lakes. My tour has an April Fool's Day kick-off.

Sounds like a real challenge but also a cool moment when you found your skin! I’ve had similar experiences where gear gets buried in the snow, and it’s a relief when you manage to track it down. The weather conditions seem to have made it tricky, but it’s good that you still managed to enjoy the trip. I know that feeling of getting to the pass after a long day, especially with the added surprise of the skin popping off! Glad it worked out in the end.
