I'll drink to that. I miss the Knights, I wish they would post again...

As far as the other stuff. It's bound to happen when a 'Ronnabe' sneaks back on here. Who else talks about CIMA, skiing blue runs on XC skis, and is so interested in the difference between tele and XCD?

Gone for now...

We do go out somedays hunting for turns, telemarking turns, but on others, many of us are simply touring the backcountry on skis, whether were going down or up.... what is common is that were always on skis, heels free and HAVING FUN!

BGREGOIRE is now an honorary Halberd Operating Knight Slayer! (HOKS for short)

And I miss CIMA

With this winter, I relate most with the last one, even though I don't golf. So yes, It counts. Free heel!

MikeK wrote:Yeah - I'd buy those wax Eons right now if it weren't for that. That skin system is really appealing to me. If Fischer did it with wax like Asnes did, I'd consider them (I think they did for the E109 tour, but good luck getting it in the US).
Hey, this is like an extension of the great Ingstad/e109/eon thread

Fischer does make the e109 in a wax base with the easy skin, and they still have 200 cm available online in Canada - but they are super pricey online - see: http://www.fischersports.ca/p/e109-easy-skin-xtralite

Sorry Mike, but my review of the Ingstad is going to be a bit yet. Hoping to get an okay from the doctor on Friday about skiing again, plus I need to get some half decent NNN BC boots to give it a fair trail. And, having said all that, I don't have a background with a lot of different skis to compare it too... I'll try my best, but you might want to take whatever I will have to say about their performance with a grain of salt... I'll reiterate though that the construction seems top notch - nicely made skis, for sure, including the integrated skin.

Mike, if you are comparing people who tour in plastic "Nordic" boots to AT skiers and splitboarders it not only shows your inexperience but it pisses people off. If you think all you can do is shuffle in big boots or that you can xc ski efficiently in AT gear my guess is you never tried it.

Exactly. Where is the snow?

Why would anyone get pissed off over something so silly? If you want to get angry about that, then I can give the address for Ron's Nazi forum.

I think people who tour in plastic boots might be a bit overly sensitive to the humor and critical thinking of this forum.
