We had a trace amount of snow in Walla Walla yesterday and today. Snow should be coming the next 4 days in Cascades (in WA at least) and Blue Mountains.

came back up north after thanksgiving to find all the little precious snow we had completely gone. i had high hopes on the weather as they were calling for a big winter storm starting last night and into today, supposed to bring 4-6". well, we got nothing. not nary a snowflake from the sky. :( i guess i will have to keep waiting...

Standby. I think we're gonna get pounded in the eastern mountains along the Maine border. I'm leaving tonight.

XC skiing today in the Blue Mountains on 6-10 inches of ungroomed but tracked powder. It was raining 15 minutes after I left the parking lot to come home. However, more snow is coming later in the week.

49 North is open, Mt. Spokane is opening Saturday, and I expect White Pass (Cascades) is opening soon. I think it will be couple of weeks for Bluewood, the closest downhill area to me, to open.

The Snowy Range here in Wyoming got hit hard this weekend. This round of snow was wet and should be a great base once it hits the east. Best November yet.

Crazy day yesterday. 8-10" to start with though I think it was underestimated, there were some deep spots, another 5" or so that fell during the day. The place is almost 100% open if not 100%, even the trees were great. Trails that don't get snowmaking and don't get good until later in the season were spectacular. Just buttery. A little heavy down low, but made for great skiing after it packed out. Just magic.

We can't catch a break here. More snow headed for the Snowy Range. Maybe this same storm will hit the Midwest.
