E99 mounting point

Post by gfwp » Mon Nov 03, 2014 3:24 am

Hi volks,

any advice on mounting point on E99 with voile 3pc and Crispi Svartisen?

(Still intrigued by the telebry stuff, but apparently no opinions around here)

Regards

It seems like the Svartisens are getting more and more popular... Good thing!

Mounting at chord center for pins and leathers should be more than perfect... Maybe +1 if you plan to take them on the groomers... (Which is fun!!)

I haven't seen or heard of telebry in a while... Which is really, really sad... NTN ruined everything... 8-)

Grab a pair and let us know how great they are...!

Def mount +1 to get the best DH control with your 3pc..Also with softer boots +1 is best unless your main thing is XC in the XCD

Hi all,

Is +1 inch or +1 cm ? Sorry but I live in Europe ;-)

Do you think that +1 is a good choice even in case of the newer, nordic rockered E99 models? I bought the brand new E99 Easy Skin model.

For telebry I fear that the plate is too wide for E99, but the idea is great, and to ad 300g per foot and have 360 degree safeout safety would be really really good. Combining The safeouts with 3pc it is possible to have full security and a weight similar or even lower than the way more expensive dynafit setup, at least the "normal" model (and a free heel of course).

So I'm still pretty intrigued to hear more experiences on it.

Centimeters. But I would try chord center first, or whatever Fischer recommends.

I think the narrow Telebry could fit the E99. If not, just rise it a bit with some plastic shims... Just ask them the mounting instructions and see if the screw holes can fit on the E99...

Don't forget the Telebry also gives you "vertical lift" release... No more nightmares about getting your skis under a hidden fallen tree... 8-)

Inches..that is with pins the lead screw is most commonly 1 inch ahead of the pin line / chord center, but that's for an XCD or older type ski and might not be the best postion if ALL you want to do are tele turns..seems to work fine generally for milder BC skiing. If you are mounting a 3pc, the +1 inch rule for pins shoudl be ok, unless there REALLY is something special about the E99, and even if you move it back about .5 inch , I bet it's not critical..

I've emailed them, but just now I got an undelivered mail return... I hope telebry still exists
