Snow Reports

Post by MikeK » Fri Nov 07, 2014 11:15 am

Snow in NY today. Not the first we've had, but the first down south of Lake Ontario. It's wet and soggy here - won't be skiable.

Skied with telekid in the am....Did a slog...a good slog with Telerock in the afternoon....Probably a mile or so and went up in forest debris...decent ride down on a logging road....The e99's clumped some on the way up....scraped last years wax off and got a good ride in some places....low angle....ride....miss rocks and ledge.....Lots of laughs....TM

My ski season started November 2 here north of the border... A bit late for my taste...

Who's jealous? This guy!

Looks like barely enough to slide on over the grass... but doable. Where is that? Looks like a ski resort.

Glad I didn't drive 5 hrs to Wilmington. Read a report later in the day that the road had been skied off to pavement in a matter of hours.

Yep, it's our local boring resort here in Sutton, Quebec... Which too was totally invaded by AT tourists this week-end... But there should be enough snow in other areas of the mountain to supply XCD skiing fun for the whole week... Time for ski day #6 now... 8-)

They got more snow a bit up north in the Chic-Chocs... (Sorry for posting Black Diamond AT shit...)

Lookin' like a possibility of my first ski of the year this week. A whopping 5" and some light stuff throughout the week. It's really wet right now but I'm just hoping for coverage of the open trails.

Last year we got over a foot near Thanksgiving... I'll be lucky to slide this year.

Cheers from the sunny and balmy south of Lake Ontario :D

P.S. We still have leaves on 30-40% of our trees!

The Bitterroot Crest has a decent base..Been very cold up there -- hit -25 and then -21 last week with windchill.. Could get a slog or 2 in ..Lookout should be open as early as this W/E with more snow comin' starting Weds night..They say 1 more foot will do it..
