Thanks for a kind reception here guys. It's going to be a good winter. MikeK, here to your wife's quick recovery too.

Cima, are you coming here from Japan, really?? Yet another place I'd love to visit.

Why don't you come back? :)
Outtabounds (S-bound 88)/SNS is my favorite set for skiing on powder.

CIMA, I just remembered why I really decided to go away from click in bindings like NNNBC. I was running into them freezing up in the wilderness on very cold days. If I ever stepped out of them, I had a hard time getting back in. I had much less of that with 3 Pin. Just remembered this.

NNN bindings seem to have a tendency of freezing.
As for SNS manual, I haven't heard of the same reports, yet.

By the way, are you in Japan now? Would love to visit your country someday. I watched the YouTube video of Tamaki Sports and I love that ski shop. Have you ever been to that shop?

Wife is doing great so far, thanks Paul.

She's a bit jealous I've skied twice already. I told her she's not missing much and the best skiing will come as soon as she's fully recovered.

I have a couple weeks off during xmas/new years. I'm hoping we get a shit ton of snow so I can bum around the park!

Here's a good early winter tour somewhat near Piseco. It's a road that is not plowed off of Rt8, 6 miles west of the Rt8/Rt10 Intersection. It's in the lake effect band area so always has snow. It's called G-Lake. It's only a 6 mile tour if G-lake at the end is not frozen. A nice ski for those coming from the west.

I know G Lake Rd.

Has a couple hills too, at least at the beginning.

Hey Paul,

You ever ski out at the end of Mountain Home Rd (previous post got me thinking)?

I know they don't plow after it turns to state land but I couldn't figure out anywhere I could park out there. There are signs everywhere saying no parking and that's it's watched by camera.

Yes, I live in Japan.
I haven't been to Tamaki Sports yet, but I'm using other shops which carry similar variety of XCD gear.

I hiked out of there a few years ago, but the parking is different in the summer time. Sorry, I don't have any info on winter use of that area.
