Re: The magic number
That picture was actually the Twister from a few years ago. I like that, reissuing skis with almost the same cosmetic as 30 years ago. Just like they did the 4S couple of years ago...
They are still making the Twister. If I had a job, I would have a pair...

Yup. I went to Dynastar's website after you posted that and looked at the specs.
Still seems a bit heavy... 1400g a piece? But man I bet they are fun.
Those other 'Twisters' I inadvertently found by mistake look pretty cool too. If I were looking to get a resort ski I'd look into something like that. Even though I'm too old and fat to hit the big jumps, I like the way those type of skis handle on side runs and woods. I get bored skiing straight down the middle of a trail on a ski that only likes perfectly groomed snow at high speed. To me it's like driving in a parking lot... throw some gates or something in there...

That's why you need to build yourself a ramp in your backyard... Gotta keep up with the young guns...!I'm too old and fat to hit the big jumps

What about Asnes Storetind ?
In that range would be the best, but also the most expensive
and with short skins.
Look here directly from Norway

I might be able to keep up on a backyard ramp... but now the ones in the terrain parks are HUGE!LoveJohnny wrote:That's why you need to build yourself a ramp in your backyard... Gotta keep up with the young guns...!I'm too old and fat to hit the big jumps
Those Asnes look cool. Wish I could read it I got the mass and the profile. Nice that they come in 180+. I can ski a 170, so no worries for me

Wow GF, those are pretty amazing skis! Perfect weight, nice sidecut, fair price @ 499$ USD. And up to 188cm!
I always try to get my hands on older /vintage Asnes skis. But it seems they never really made it to Canada...
A special hook for kickers? Wow! Sexy!
