Something like 20% of fatalities skiing are from falling into tree wells, and they can form fast in that kind of dump!

This particular segment begins in the video at 3:30 and I agree it's probably the most worthwhile part!

sometime around 2007, I got snowed in at Squaw Valley. I was one of the last to arrive before the road closed. it snowed about 10ft. Ironically most of the upper mountain was closed while I was there because they had to clear the avalanches. you could hear the cannons going off constantly
