New tele ski search

Hi folks,

Looking for my next tele ski. Old topic I know but it’s time for a new set up.

I’m 5’11” 175 lbs. Ski fairly aggressive, love the bumps and trees. East coast skier. Set up will be Outlaw x and Scarpa TX Comps.

On the short list;
Kastle FX95 (I can get my hands on a pair at a discount)
Blizzard Rustler 9
Salomon QST 92

What are some thoughts? Open to other suggestions too.

The first is damper the second more poppy. I love mine, over the moon with it. The tail is perfectly designed. Rip them all day in tight trees and bumps.

I was a skeptic until I tried. You can demo them too, just call the shop and ask.

I have both. I had the pariah first, two pairs (just sold one) and I was really intrigued with the pariahBC/Outcast97 with the Paulownia core, different fiberglass lay up, and carbon. It's the same chassis, but definitely skis more lively than the Pariah.

I'm an addict when trying new skis, no shame!

Anybody know why tail rocker would be better for telemark?

Hoping to get my hands on the SummitCone Vagabond. Just have to sweet talk the misses. I've already splurged on skis this year so its a hard sell.

Schmeary. Great in the east. Some people love tele on flat tails (think Bishop Chedi), some don't. Here in the east I like schmeary releasable tails. The Fey Bros strike a good balance between the two. Just enough to release and schmear, enough to hold tight and carry you through the turn. And the flex is just right too. They just nailed the tail on this ski, methinks.

Thanks. I always thought of schmearability when considering snow conditions (pow-pow, packed, granular, ice, etc.), but I never gave much thought when comparing turn techniques for alpine vs. tele. I would very much like to be a connoisseur of such things... sadly, I'm not that privileged to test so may skis with different configurations. Perhaps in the next life.
