Difference between midstiff & freeflex

Post by Rodbelan » Fri Dec 19, 2014 11:33 pm

I would like to know if there is a big difference between midstiff & freeflex cartridge on a BD 01... Same sort of difference between a Switchback and X2? I am trying to find a comparison to figure it out...

I don't know about the cartridge difference between the Switchback and the X2. The significant difference between those binders is the pivot point has been moved back on the X2 -> more leverage.

The X2 are 25% stiffer... But my main concern is: how are those freeflex cartridge from Black Diamond mounted on a 01? Stiff enough for a light guy (130 pounds)? Not much review or comparison available...
