Advice needed from Toko wax users

Taking the advice to just cork some Blue (Toko Blue = Swix Green) worked like a charm and I had an amazing ski with it today.

@fisheater how do you assess them in comparison to Swix, in terms of performance? They are convenient, but also more expensive per gram...

I use Swix wax as it’s what is available in southern Michigan. Snow culture here is the snowmobile. My wax experimenting has been with waxes warmer than Swix blue as in conditions warmer than Swix blue are where I have wanted better performance.
I’m no expert, I’m just a guy that lives in a warmer than ideal climate. I really prefer a waxed ski to a waxless ski, so I keep experimenting

thanks. also located good supplies of toko and swix at akers ski.

noted many wax brands at akers and pioneer besides toko and swix: rode, rex, vauhti, start and others. a whole world of experimentation - for those so inclined.

any kind of warm-temp wax on fresh dry snow is going to be a nightmare! Have to get it off. This is why a lot of people have mulitple skis & leave one waxed with warmer-temp wax or, god forbid, klister......
