Adhesive tape for cold & wet

Post by joeatomictoad » Sat Nov 27, 2021 1:22 pm

Can any one recommend adhesive tape that stands the elements, and possibly a little bit thick. Not necessarily for anti-ice properties, but that would benefit too.

Use case: I installed aluminum B&D switch plates underneath Vice bindings. Now every time the heel comes down, the underheel springs hit the aluminum plate instead of the top sheet. Main problem is just the sound... metal-on-metal is much more disagreeable than metal-on-topsheet. Would like to mitigate this sound, if possible.

Gorilla tape is pretty good.

This sound was a non-issue on the slopes. Only problem was me making a mountain out of a mole hill.
