I don't know what that means.

Are you really that special that everyone needs to make a pilgrimage to ski with you?

btw it's 35 F and raining at Lookout Pass I90. It's also 34 F at the Lookout snotel at 5140'. What day is it?

Enjoy your powder day, why aren't you skiing?

Rain is not being reported on the Mesonet at all, though I am sure there's a tiny bit of precip.

Why is the lift on lookers left even there? Isn't that going downhill?

Those conditions look epic, kinda like everywhere else in PNWet.

Uh huh..  Like the 50 degree temps closing in on Stevens..Hey dummy, it's 50 in Calgary right now, mid-40's in Edmonton..the warm air is arcing up and around us far to the north..It's closing slowly in on us from the south.. it's called a Chinook..It will probably get into the low 40's in the Bitterroots..but maybe just upper 30's.. Beats the upper 40's and even low 50's they will see in the mountains west of here..
Lookout has the smallest bunny hill in the country, BUT they still teach kids to ski for FREE..
When you go, you might see Teledance (excellent Tele skier..one-time tele racer) manning that lift!
There are 2 places around here I would bet on for tomorrow and possibly Sunday : Turner and Blacktail, possibly Big Mountain too..They should survive 'till Sunday at least..lost Trail should remain above freezing also with a base of 7k..Groomers will be good there if nothing else..But in place in the Inland North West (not PNW!) it appears an inversion is in place or coming, so the higher elevations may be doomed..all goin to shit for a few days

Since you started down that path, no shit Sherlock. My god you are a buffoon. Of course it's cooler to the east now, that's because the weather usually moves in from a westerly direction to the east around the PNW/INW.I'm sure you'll point out that it sometimes comes from the NW or SW, yes that's why I typed westerly. I didn't even have to google or check the NWS to know that.

I don't really care if Teleprance is manning the lift at the LOOkOut bunny hill and that he was a "tele racer". Does anyone?

Lots of places teach kids for free, it's how they get their money when they get hooked on skiing, NTTATWWT.

The PNW is commonly but not always referred to as a region that encompasses WA,OR and parts of ID, MT and BC. The Inland NW is part of the PNW, A lot of folks would agree. I'm reading a collection PNW writing right now first printed in 1945 and it includes parts of ID and MT. It's called "Promised Land" you should check it out.

Not that it matters.

Is your google fu that bad? It's 31 and pass level at Steven's right now, I don't really care though. It is warmer higher, an inversion I think you called it. Again NO SHIT SHERLOCK!

Dong - a sock puppet is just someone hiding behind another screen name pretending to be someone else... just like you are with a sock puppet behind the stage. It actually makes a lot of sense.

Put it this way, Ron has a lot of enemies. There's a lot of people who like to swoop in and mess with him. He assumes anytime someone doesn't agree with him and he doesn't know them that they are some former adversary camouflaged, sneaking through the bushes to get him.

I only mention CO weed because Ron hates everything CO. It's a popular rant of his. You'll learn all this in due time.

Ron's in full attack mode right now. He's going to hit you with everything he has and make no sense doing it. Now is the time to step away. Let him rant for a few days and he might be more reasonable once he cools off a bit. He might go right back, you never know. I've been trying to figure him out for like 3 months now... he'll act nice and be cool for like one day, and then he'll go into this madness you are witnessing now. I guess it's just how he rolls. Try not to get upset and try to flip things positive. Once he knows you are pissed at him he'll get even crazier. Then just badger him with little inane jokes, nothing too insulting, just enough to let him know he's being a maniac. You'll know if you went too far by how he responds - if it's    and    he's OK - if he breaks out the roaring fk's, you've went too far. It's kind of fun sometimes as long you don't get sucked in.

Either that or just ignore him altogether.

Point of Fact: The "Inland PNW" is generally referred to as the "Inland Empire" (not to be confused with the one in Southern Kalifornia). Spokane is its Capital. The Empire is ruled by iron-fisted Supreme Leader Rav'nRon (ruling in Abstentia, somewhere in...gosh....I don't know....or should I say.... I-da-ho). The Empire's biggest peak is Runt Mountain; keep on the lookout for it during your travels to Nowhere In Particluar.

Spokane is indeed the de facto capital of our esteemed INW (Inland Empire!!!)which includes most of E Wa. , Idaho N of the Salmon River, a large part of E. Oregon, and Western Montana. A large part of BC and part of Alberta are also tied to the area in various ways -- Spokane, Calgary and Edmonton all share various radio and TV channels , for example.. Our weather is distinctly different and more varied than that of the wet side of the Cascades as well..
Hey one-eyed-dork, you will pass the highest peak in Kootenai County ( NOT North Idaho) on the way past the St Regis Basin and Runt Mountain, it's called Latour Peak..
GO ZAGS!!!

Hey Noshow, Mike/Mikenhoser,
There appears to be an area or 2 of trapped cooler air around Stevens..but dude, it's 40 and raining in most spots there..
This time of the year, it would be NORMAL for the storms to be coming from the N/NW ..The westerly and SW westerly flows are the exceptions, the breaks in winter ( normal in the sense that they are bound to occur --but seldom with the frequency and durations of this winter) come from the westerly and SWesterly storms ..BTW, it can be, and at times each winter is, below 0 F over here and maybe in the 20's and 30's on the wet side..
