Opinions on Renoun skis?

Post by sparker1987 » Tue Aug 16, 2022 3:46 pm

Looking to potentially pull the trigger on a pair of Renoun Endurance 98 (or 88s) and mount with switchback bindings, curious if anyone on here has done tele skiing with these before and had thoughts. Probably 2/3 resort 1/3 touring. Killington / Pico, Stratton will be my primary areas this year for resort skiing

Or if anyone has a better recommendation I'm all ears

I have a friend on some, he uses them as a firm snow carving ski, but I'm curious what's the attraction of this particular brand for you?

The tech seems cool and the guy that started the company was a couple years behind me in college. Neither of those are great reasons to spend a bunch of $$ on skis though. I haven't really seen much of anything about folks using them for tele on the east coast.
TLDR: shiny different thing grabbed my attention

There is a lot of discussion of these on Skitalk and reviews on Blister.
TLDR summary of comments- The ski is easy to ski at low speeds but stiffens/calms down at higher speeds.
I’ve never seen a pair though.

Just picked up a pair of Citadel 114s.
Happy to hear the HDT sounds like it works.
No time on them yet; they are still in plastic.

I did a run on a pair this past season, they were one if the local patrollers. They carved like butter! The patroller was in love with them.
