Meidjo and Rabb

Has anyone tried mounting meidjo bindings on Asnes Rabb skis? I have some M2.1 bindings currently sitting on some Sky HD planks. I really liked the meidjos but find them fiddly to put on, so I’ve switched to Freerides for resort use. Most of my non resort skiing is on 3 pins and leather boots but I have a hankering to do nicer turns…
On the other hand I’ve heard that some manufacturers don’t think that their light weight skis are strong enough for full on telly bindings. What do you think?

Try it! But I just feel like there's no reasonable boot to pair with this configuration unless you have a duck-butt modded OG F1. I think TX Pro or Crispi EVO would be just too much boot for a ski like that? I tried my EVOs with a TTS setup on Altai Koms and it was absurd (clunky/heavy/uncomfortable vs light ski). I feel like this could be similar.

My instant thought is that Rabbs are a little over on the flexible side of what would be preferable for such a powerful configuration?

Seems as if the boot/ski combo would be unbalanced. I can't imagine the weight of a typical ski boot with my Falketind 62 which is a very similar profile and weight. Moreover, the Meidjo would overhang the Rabb (at only 68mm under foot) quite a bit. I don't know the specs but this would, in fact, put some of the binding holes close to the edge of the ski and possibly on or over it.

If you wanted to go this route I think a TTS type binding would fit a lot better or even an Alpine Touring binding with a very light weight boot like the Dalbello quantum - but then you're not telemarking. But does it matter?

It seems reasonable since they also advertise the Raab as a light AT ski. I wouldn’t though as a ski that narrow I found to be pretty sensitive to crud snow. Maybe the rocker and relatively deep sidecut would help. I’d do a Voile V6 or similar instead!

Thanks for all the replies. I’m really pursuing the ‘sunk costs’ fallacy, in that I’m trying to find a good use for my meidjos, rather than the best match for Rabbs I don’t have.
As DG99 says, Asnes advertise the Rabbs as suitable for use with AT bindings, so I thought that might apply to tech toe telly bindings as well but John’s point about the binding overlapping the ski is a dealbreaker.
So, back to the drawing board, I don’t think Voile skis are available in Britain, any other thoughts on lightweight skis that would pair with the Meidjos? Living over here, I anticipate a lot of carrying and hard snow.

Altai Kom is another option, but it also wouldn't be fun on hard snow really. But fits the bill of being wider, has fishscales, etc.

Inexpensive from Europe.
Stiffer ski that what you were looking at or compared to something like the V6.
I ski these with M3.

Would Åsnes Nosi 76 fit? If you want to keep an x-skin option.

Fischer Rangers are nice. Maybe too heavy, try Fischer Hannibals?
Also Nordica Enforcer Unlimited.
