Oh, BTW, Johnny changed his opinion on not only the Alpha Free but Xplore in general.
Can you link to this? Just curious because he was initially so gung-ho.
Unlikely @lowangle al will provide. Ppl like that have played loose with the truth for so long that they barely know what it is any more.

What ya say, Al… want me to post links to back this statement?

You're the internet researcher Mannie, I'm sure you've probably found it by now.

BTW, I never talked about my skiing experience until you started contradicting everything I say. Just because you're a bullshitter doesn't mean everyone is. Some of us know what they're talking about, and you're not one of them.

Didn’t do the search. Somebody from BCT pointed it out to me. Sent me photos no explanation… didn’t believe them. Then they sent links.

Here’s what you posted to TT in December:
IMG_8677.png
Then, in Backcountry Talk in January:
IMG_8675.png
Exact same picture… on one site, the claim was 16 laps. On another site, the claim was 15 days. Same picture. Exactly the same. The miles grew with each telling of the tale. Like Pinocchios nose.

Let’s see how long it takes for an edit to occur so Al doesn’t look like a bs artist. This boasting bs predates my time here… or on BCT. Anyone joining BCT gets access to full images.

I have been here for quite a few years, but no where near as long as guys like Lowangle Al and Connyro. There are many more long time members with considerably more year here than myself.
I remember when Stephen was a new guy here. He has sent me a couple of private messages over the past couple of years suggesting I tone down the volume a little bit. I never found his perspective out of line. I was a bit disappointed in myself for the fact that Stephen had to reach out privately. Our forum only stands and is fun, informative, and is a community, through the decorum and good will of all the contributors.
@Stephen is a gentleman, he is a kind man. I am a bit more fiery, I could not put out a post to @Manney like Stephen did, I support his effort. Even though @Manney has backed off me, I definitely have noticed a larger percentage of his posts have not helped a sense of community. However, he definitely has an interest, and a different perspective.
This really is a special forum. We are truly international (at least from a North American perspective), we have a lot interesting people with a lot of unique knowledge. Please appreciate what we have.
When it comes to equipment and style, we need to keep our passions and share them. We can and should respectfully and sometimes vehemently disagree. However let’s try to keep it respectful.
However there is a disagreement between a fat ski guy and a skinny ski guy, I enjoy both of them, I hate to see them poke at each other. However they were grandfathered in on that disagreement before I arrived.
We only need one of those!
Peace

Don’t like being fed a line of bs every day from Al. Don’t like seeing Al use bs to convince somebody to bring themselves down to his level. BS is disrespectful, unhelpful. Doesn’t serve any wholesome purpose. Pure narcissism.

Not playing cop, but there has to be an end to this. Tele is a fringe. Ppl don’t take it seriously. When the ppl doing it bs, it damages the cred of the sport.

it's pretty obvious that the suspect photo (dec 15th 2022) is simply being used as an example of one of the 15 days he spent skiing in NE PA this season up until Jan 6 2023. Nowhere does he seem to make the claim you accuse him of. Seems legit to me.

@lowangle al, you low down dog — are you trying to inflate your stats, or did you actually ski more miles and vert in the maybe 20 days between those two posts on December 15th, 2022, and January 6th, 2023?
You better be able to back up your boasts! We don’t allow no posers here!

I’m almost embarrassed I wasted my time looking into this alleged transgression.

@Manney, who sent that to you, the user Poseur on BCT?
Who uses the same sort of language on BCT that you do?
Who might actually be you, under a different user name?
