REI dumping ALFA boots

A pair of stockings at that price would give my brain terrible blisters.

I agree... Brain can have blisters... But I feel as if that whole thing even loads blisters down to my concepts themselves... I think I need to read Aristotle all over again. What do I know, he might, as a plus, adresse that B telemark thing somewhere...

Sometimes I wonder if a product is discontinued by a large seller, (like REI, in this case) if it's because the producer can not supply enough product. A nationally sized company needs massive amounts of product to put on a LOT of shelves.

I wonder if that's partly why Asnes is no longer sold at REI? -REI didn't have much of their product when they did...

Maybe the producer doesn't want to supply enormous sellers. And then consider the companies which sell massive amounts of products to many large national sellers; they have to meet mass produced expectations & requirements.

But for ALFA, it seems like REI is their door into the US market, but maybe they’re stratigically not interested in the US market, and the Euro market is what they want.
I did a quick search and don’t see anyone besides REI selling ALFA boots in the US (glad I have all I will probably ever need!).
Also, at their price-point, their boots almost seem more a boutique product (specialty ski shop).

ALFA is not of strategic interest to REI.

Seems like an opportunity for Neptune to pick up ALFA. Last time I was in there, the Alaska was the only XP boot they sold.
