I'd spend $25 to have the bindings mounted instead of $50 for a piece of plastic.

Sometimes the approach is just as much fun as the objective.

Re: Pictures, pictures and pictures!
Engelberg, Central Switzerland, 09:00 on a Sunday morning.
I was very surprised to find this piste deserted but for the lone tourist skinning up the edge of the piste. Most of the crowds had gone up to the top part of the mountain (3230m), but I stayed on the lower slopes as I was on Nordics.
Life is hard! The little side valley of the Trübenbach, filled up with “Hochnebel” (valley fog). A childrens’ T-Bar lift next to the main descent piste. The mountains on the other side of the valley (with southern aspect) are alarmingly devoid of snow for February. The final narrow piste down to the village which is dominated by the distinctive form of Hahnen (The Rooster) 2606m – Engelberg’s “House Mountain”. The pistes on this (north) side of the mountain were very hard, even in the afternoon, and the rush-hour speeds were horrendous – although I never saw any accidents in the six days that I was there.

@Jurassien Thank you for posting the beautiful photos. The Alps, seem quite unique from the mountains I’ve been to in the States. I appreciate them all. However not all are quite as photogenic as the Alps!

Only a 2 hour trip including drive and shower, but I got a lot for my time. Impressed with the Ousland skis, although the terrain was more suited to FT62.
@fisheater thanks

@CwmRaider looks like you had a real nice day out! It's kinda crazzy how good the BC skiing possibilities are so close to the city

Nice landscapes @CwmRaider. That whets my appetite for my visit to your country next month – although I won’t see many trees where I’m going.
Also liked the funny “half-face” photo (Børge Raider or Roelant Ousland?). I can see where you bought your skis from.
