Getting buried alive in deep, soft, cold snow in the Central Hills of New Brunswick Canada!
(We have received more than 60cm of snowfall in the last ten days- with regular snowfall all over the forecast!)
Temperatures are staying below freezing even at the height of day- kick/grip wax heaven. I can ski anywhere and in any direction at the moment!
Wishing you all the best and a happy holidays!
Gareth

BTW-
though my 210 Combat NATO is simply AWESOME...
Today reminded me that I really could put a 270 Finnish Forest ski to good use...

Seriously envious of that snow Gareth- I’ve got that 270 Metsa and soooo want to experience it in insanely deep snow.

Hey Gareth, I’m glad you have snow, and I was excited to see a new post. I said to myself, Gareth sure has some nice skiing, but how’s the fishing in NB? Well, I found the New Brunswick fishing website. The answer is the fishing’s pretty good. The only thing I didn’t figure out is if there is good walleye fishing (Sander vitreus) called pickerel in Ontario (my grandfather knew them as pickerel as well, In Detroit.) It appears there is good chain pickerel fishing in NB.
Congratulations for your outdoors paradise Gareth. I have had some dust on the grass for the last week or so. No skiing on God’s snow, so I’ll be making some turns on man made. I’ll count my blessings!

Hi Bob,
I have heard rumors of walleye in NB...
Definitely have chain pickerel.

@Inspiredcapers
I tried to special order a wax 270 Metsa- no success yet...
I may buy the scale version...
Skiwax was suggesting treating the base and removing scales...
I think I would just grip wax the scaled base- and that way would also have scales for warm wet snow...
