I can be a slow learner. Despite having numerous Israeli colleagues, friends, and acquaintances over the years, it was not until I was dating my second Israeli girlfriend that it occurred to me that the small, but inappropriate and seemingly out of nowhere episodes of weird chauvinism were not just coming from a couple of people. A Jewish-American friend would later explain the reality of the Israeli state and culture and how it affects people growing up there.

And BTW, "Israeli" is not a race, it is a passport, and for some, a mindset. There are Arab Jews, African Jews, Turkic Jews, Persian Jews, none of which are as "good" as white European (Ashkenazi) Jews in the pantheon of Israeli supremacism.

Muslims have a big problem with freedom and democracy and can't govern themselves properly. There is no Arab country that is reasonable in either their own domestic policy or in their international relations. Turkey came closest of the Muslim counties to actually achieving functioning democracy, but then Erdogan came along and reversed the path.

Israelis did not fly a plane into the World Trade Center nor did they blow up the Pentagon. The Palestinians cheered when then happened!

The reason it takes 2 hours to go through airport security in the USA and Europe is not because of the Israelis!

P.P.S. I understand the chauvinism and it isn't just Israeli. Most American Jews have a Jewish banker, accountant, dentist, doctor, lawyer, travel agent, etc. I find it distasteful in certain respects, very normal in others since just about every tribe on Earth does it.
