TH - sounds cool, you have the same high winds and rocks as we do over here in New England. I think the continent split millions of years ago and left us with the other half of your mountains! So you've been to the mythical Norwegian plateau national park, wow, I hope to make it someday.

I got a pair of the Ski March but have not tried them. The sole seems as stiff as the Double with more comfortable uppers. It's the only wide telemark or XC boot on earth. I'm thinking of maybe having a buckle added to them.

The choice between Svartisen and Antartica boots ? They are both made to an equal quality. I find them both OK for fit. I choose between them according to how steep I think the ground will be. Most of the skiing in these parts is on heather and grass moorlands on big rolling hills; not super steep but not flat either. I predominately use the Svartisens.

I think I will get a pair added to my military Alicos over the summer. The ankles are a bit wide, seems like a good idea. The ultimate cheap leather boot!
