Fischer Easyskin on Sale at Skatepro. $52.95. And other goodies….

https://www.skatepro.com/en-us/269-2253 ... ode=K50114
One retailer told me they had no warning this year’s skis would not have the Easyskin attachment and they ended up with a whole bunch of Easyskins, with no skis to sell them with…
They had a scramble at Fischer to make the 23/24 skis because of the continued shutdown of Fischer's largest ski factory which is in in the city of Mukachevo in western Ukraine (the largest ski factory in the world and a tree-to-ski operation). They had the 22/23 models made for them 3rd party in Czechia, but that factory was booked out and they made the 23/24s in China (boooooo). I guess the Chinese could not figure out (or retool fast enough) to build in the EZ skin attachment, so it vanished. This year (24/25) the EZ is back, and the Traverse 78 is made in Austria (or so says the top-sheet that I saw a photo of).

So if you like the EZ skin don't buy the Chinese 23/24 leftovers that retailers are flogging at preseason sales (for not very interesting prices).

Poor Fischer, poor Ukraine- the factory in Ukraine had just been totally rebuilt as after a fire destroyed it in 2020. After a massive reconstruction with all new ski-manufacturing equipment (not off-the-shelf machines!) it came back on line just in time for the Russians to attack sovereign Ukraine. The workforce has largely been conscripted and is fighting the Russian invaders, the future hangs in the balance.

Telemark Pyrenees has the Crispi Futura XP on sale for €188 in most sizes. I don't know whether these are left over from last season or they just got this season's shipment. Great deal if you are a Crispi fan.

I could spend a lot on a quiver… but these three skis are enough for me….
Pine-tar soaked wood spliskeins for the perfect powder day.
Rossi fish scales for 80 % of backwoods;
And Tua Razors for lift serve, or skin-up conditions.

Best price I’ve found in Canada yet. They still have sizes 27 & 29.
