Arcteryx procline boots
Wished they made these boots for telemark. Skiing and climbing boots.

Pretty nice... but I doubt that it is really solid. There is an expression in french that translates roughly like: «you can't have the butter and the farmer's wife a$$»...

Re: Arcteryx procline boots
I think they'd be sweet for going light but stiff. However, what dirtbag telemarker would pay $1000 for a pair of boots?
Re: Arcteryx procline boots
I just want a nice, LIGHT, 3 buckle tele touring boot with a good walk mode ROM - like AT or skimo boots.
the (now discontinued) scarpa terminator x got real close...but 'tis no more...glad I bought a pair
I can't take arcteryx seriously because you are obviously paying a huuuuuge (yuuge?) premium for the brand name. although these boots obvs took some serious development.

Re: Arcteryx procline boots
Ya, they are pretty expensive though there is a $750.00 version but that is still expensive AF. lol I'm sure I'll end up packing in real climbing boots, but would be nice to just use one pair for everything.
Re: Arcteryx procline boots
How technical is the climb? I personally wouldn't ski in with tele boots and carry climbing boots. I'd either climb in tele boots (if climbing isn't very technical) or ski in on the mountaineering boots (if the skiing isn't very steep). If it's both, sorry man, I'd go AT.
Re: Arcteryx procline boots
Ya, buying a whole new set-up isn't going to happen, I just have to use what I've got, but it'll be next winter, It's not overly technical, though there is a glacier and crevasses and a long slog into Gannett peak.
