Black Diamond Contact Crampons
Ordered up a pair of Black Diamond Contact crampons from Army Navy Outdoors through EBay.
Description says lightly used. Mine arrived in new condition with spike protectors, no original package, pamphlet. Says they are for up to size 12. My size 10 Columbia boots needed the last hole of the flex plate to fit. Maybe I got a small? Ordered up the long extended flex plates from another store. I feel better having some extra holes to work with. Tried them out around the house on some plow mounds and then on some roof shed packed snow. Looks like a good buy for $69.95

Re: Black Diamond Contact Crampons
Sweet! I had a similar design Grivel crampon for many years and in fact just sold them a year or so ago. Worked great with light mountaineering boots for low angle snow climbs, and although the straps were a pain sometimes, the straps were very light compared to a crampon with bails and levers.
The toe spacing was such that they never fit any of my tele or alpine ski boots, otherwise I think I
would've used em more often.
