Pop up issue

Post by MikeK » Sun Feb 01, 2015 7:26 pm

I don't know if it's something with this site but it only happens here. I've been getting a pop-up to update some free software (I can't recall the exact details) for about the last week. I just close the window and it goes away but it seems a bit fishy, especially with the recent activity here...

I'm not much of a computer nerd but it doesn't seem healthy...

Trust me, this place is 100% safe. The only popup you might get here is one from "Tapatalk", which opens automatically when your browse the site on a mobile device. It's a plugin I installed to view the forum more efficiently on phones & tablets... Try it, you'll love it! 100% safe and cool!

No it's something else - it must be something with my home pc... probably needs a good scrub. Thanks.

If you need to clean your hard drive I found these guys to be very good: www.mycuredcomputer.com . They will remotely log into your computer and they do a very thorough job. You can do a one time clean or get a year long service with unlimited help/debugging. Good luck.
