very good but now i just noticed that your photo of the liner shows "27" and the insde of the shell shows "27.5" or am i mistaken thank you

Just a guess, but the shells are on the half size, then the liner has more volume to make the whole size fit.

Scarpa are just the opposite, the shell is made for the whole size. The liner fills the extra volume for the half size.

As an example, I wear a 28.5 in Scarpa. I got a good deal on a new, old stock F-1 Race, but it was a 29.0. I needed to purchase a 28.5 liner, then the boot fit great.

thank you for the explanation on the liner & shell sizing I guess no brand gives a sh$t about conformity any way after checking the exchange rate from Can. to US "$1.40" yikes i have to pass on your offer so good luck with your sell and I suppose i"m gonna just have to rivet my old boots together for another season
