RFK speech, not what I expected. It’s worth 40 minutes

This is the place to debate politics, global warming, and yes, even the origin of man, whatever. Simply put, if you want to argue about off topic stuff, you've found the right board. Have fun!

"They would be astonished to learn of a Democratic Party presidential nominee who, like Vice President Harris, has not appeared in a single interview or an unscripted encounter with voters for 35 days. This is profoundly undemocratic. How are people to judge when they don’t know whom they are choosing? And how can this look to the rest of the world?"

It looks really bad to 50 percent of the world, and the rest refuse to look. Such polarized times

The rest of the world sees us a joke IMO. A sick joke. Kamala has outlined her policies and yet if we are told she hasn't by the altMedia we believe it as fact without doing any research. JFKjr is a nut job but he now is with his fellow whackadoodle insurrectionists led by a most despicable leadership.

From stealing money from a veteran charity to POW's are not heroes to desecrating the graves at Arlington. Makes me sick to my stomach.

There must be a group in the middle that can clearly see both sides, but still have to choose one, or the other.
What’s really interesting are the the two groups on either end of the distribution who think the other group must be from another planet.
50% of the country / world is not crazy — same facts and information, different interpretations and conclusions.
I accept that, but don’t understand it.

It's easier to understand if you think of how dumb the average person is. And 50% of the population is dumber than average. The dumbest person that I know is a Cornell grad business owner who claimed his fine for bringing an uncovered load to the dump was Obama's fault.

I find understanding the truth that the other side sees is explained eloquently in this clip.

The rest of the world sees the U.S. as crazy and unstable since the Trump presidency. He's openly said he would let countries like Russia do whatever the hell they want, and he wouldn't aid our allies if they didn't pay what he says they should. I was only able to get through 14 minutes of RFK's game. He talked about the value and importance of democracy early on (he sounded ok there for a bit, drawing on JFK and RFK's appeal), and then echoing Trump's mantra "I lost because it wasn't fair".So now he's backing the many times convicted criminal with blood on his hands from his part in the insurrection attempt (how Democratic is tha?) and letting thousands die as a result of his lying to the public about the severity of the Covid threat.
So I'm not thinking highly of RFK Jr.s integrity or motivation. I think he's a snake.

(Please Note: The word "snake" here only in it's use as a phrase to describe someone devious and not to be trusted. I actually like snakes in the real world)

Having lived in Europe for over thirty years I would say the first time that Europe viewed America as having a "crazy" problem is when Dubya won reelection. However they could get over him as he was not psycho-crazy (just dumb)- they will never get over the fact that a psycho like Donald Trump gets almost half of the American vote and equally psycho Kennedy jr. at one point was polling 20%. Biden did an excellent job shoring up international relations, standing up to Russia, and managing NATO, Blinken is well respected. Hopefully Harris will continue in that vain, I hope she keeps Blinken.

People are still stuck on the left/right paradigm after the last 10 years? LOL. They install your leaders. There's only one party and it's the state

Rubbish, if you don't see the difference in the two parties you are a blind man.
