Doggy style

Post by randoskier » Fri Sep 27, 2024 4:33 am

Fischer just released the 2025 Trace 98, a doggy ski. No metal edges. Crown/Easyskin.

Same side-cut as the S-bound. 98 - 69 – 88 mm

I guess this ski has been out in for awhile in Norway as a hunting ski (because Oslo Sports Lager has a pair of the 21/22 model), but I have never seen it here on the continent before now. Aventure Nordique in France offers it.

Very interesting. I have not seen these before. Adventure Nordic lists the weight at 1840 grams vs 2200 for the SBound 98.

This used to be called the Fischer Jakt Crown. Jakt = hunting in norwegian.

I never saw those either! Perhaps they were targeted at the Norwegian market where almost everyone I know skis...and hunts. btw. it's rype season!

The Trace 88s are a lot lighter than the Jakt Crown though-

Jakt Crown = 2390g in 179cm (according to Nuten Sport, photo)

Trace 88 = 1840g in 179cm (according to Aventure Nordique)
