Chest Pack

I'm tired of shoving my skins down my bibs, trying to cram them into my pant's pockets, or taking my pack on and off constantly. I would like to find some kind of chest pack for stashing kicker skins, full length skins, some kick waxing stuff, and other accessories. Has anyone found anything that works well for this?

Would like to find something very lightweight so I'm not weighing myself down any further on overnight or multi-day trips. Everything I've see is some kind of "tactical" thing that's too heavy or it's made by an ultralight backpacking company for your snacks and sunscreen and probably a bit too small for big full length skins.

I stole an idea from @lowangle al I put a couple grommets in a cargo pocket from an old pair of pants. I just use it for my phone, map, snack. It would fit a pair of X-Skins if that’s what I wanted to use it for.

i wear my running vest during most sessions. tons of stretch pocket storage space in front, sides, back, etc. plus water bottles on the chest which keeps them warm (no frozen bladder tubes). salomon adv 12 is my favorite. i especially love the stretch pocket that lines the lower back that can easily be accessed without removing the pack.

I ski mostly in Norrona cotton anoraks, even on multi week tours (I have a lightweight gore-tex shell if need be). Huge pockets. On my other, older one the pocket is higher. They moved the pocket lower to enable better venting options and make it easier to put on and take off. I also have a great REI heavy gore-tex anorak from I don't know when- got it on Ebay awhile ago- best thing they ever came up with. It has big pockets. I think most anoraks have large front pockets.

BD crampon bag. Not sure if it has belt loops on the bottom for your sternum strap, if not- sew some webbing on. Should work. $12

Around here, 90% of the time I'm just wearing a thin base layer shirt unless I'm taking a longer break. Around freezing, full size exposure, and moving uphill means I'm warm. So jacket pockets aren't going to help much.

Maybe go with the crampon case- it has a daisy chain on the back

what did the old timers use back in the day ? I remember dorks wearing fanny packs in the 90's, they sure where handy
