Trade War

This is the place to debate politics, global warming, and yes, even the origin of man, whatever. Simply put, if you want to argue about off topic stuff, you've found the right board. Have fun!

After the (revealing) dialog regarding French President Macron, is a revealing part of the "trade war" in historical and current terms.

I'm shocked. Big ole nothing burger. Politicians creating hysteria, driving up commodities. Driving hedge funds. Politicians being politicians

The single biggest red flag is the absolute failure of politicians, media, etc to point out the inaction of American moderates. All you hear is Trump and Musk, deflection from state responsibility

Personally I think this video is bullshit though

Mind boggling to me how a Bully has taken the office of The Most Powerful Man on Earth. We’re told that Bullying is not acceptable anymore yet we have a guy who is changing the world through bullying tactics? Amazing how the world has gone…we are soooo getting a wake up call.

He should stand to lose a large part of his base because of that stunt with the Epstein Files yesterday. That was totally bullshit and proof that he isn't "draining the swamp". He is quite literally one and the same as the "swamp", and protects it

Pretty hilarious that the same people that defunded our militaries and banned pur firearms with the intentions of taking them away are now talking about forming citizen militias. Trump is really stirring the pot

Oh, and now Canada is in discussion of mandatory military service. Starting to see the scam here. The Military Industrial Complex giving itself a bump, exactly the same way Big Pharm gave itself a bump with covid

Go type "mandatory military service" into the search bar on X for an adventure

When your neighbor says he is going to burn your house down, it's prudent to stock some fire extinguishers in the garage, eh?

My great great great uncle was a member of a Well Regulated NYS militia fighting off a Canadian invasion at Lake George. His gun ownership was well regulated. And his gun shot one bullet at a time.

But as usual, the Right Wing misreads the intention of a statement. When I was a kid, 5 years after VE day, I had a white metal helmet with a CD (Civil Defense) logo on it to play with. Too many ignorant fools on the internet these days.

"Fire extinguisher" is just not a good analogy. I'm a gun guy. I have many. I know how many Americans have, because I'm on likewise forums to these. I have many guns, and it's nowhere near what the typical American gun owner has. Your population is exponentially larger. It's just ridiculous to think our bolt action rifles and handfuls of ten round handguns, and a couple shotguns are fire extinguishers. It's false hope. It's a really nice thought though. Very virtuous. In reality it would get a lot of people killed. Like Ukraine

You seem to have very limited mindset of what definition of civil defense is. Thus, makes no sense to debate the CD issue with you. Can't talk about correct mounting position on a ski without knowing what a ski is, eh?

CD=Don't buy Kentucky booze. CD=Don't vacay in FLA. CD=Boo the American anthem. CD=see something say something

BTW, I own a gun and am on a gun forum. Mostly technical hunter talk and owner reviews. Some trolls too with pics of guns that make them pee a little.

Had my heart zapped early this am to reset the timing. Took 5 hours and a nap for the fentanyl to wear off.

No. I understand the definition just fine. In any other case it's fabulous. The fact is America is armed to to the teeth. The government, and the civilian population. Getting the Canadian population all riled up at this point about getting in some kind of conflict with their neighbors is completely irresponsible. No American politician is even claiming to annex Canada by force. They're simply extending the invitation to join the union when Canada is no longer viable as a country. If they force that downfall via sanction then power too them but that doesn't warrant a suicidal military response.

Tbh I think civil defense is amazing. We have been asking for it for years. But to have it suggested by this govt at THIS point is ironic, and too little too late
