Outtabounds became the S Bound 88, same dimensions, apparently different camber.

Skat!? Does that mean you are leaving like on T East? Or do you mean animal feces? Or does that mean you aren't 'scared', as in someone might give you the boot who isn't me... or connyro... wonder who that leaves? I'd ask your buddy Joel to do the math for you 8-)

Teleman, what you say is true, but that was a while ago. Fischer has updated (re-worked) their line of BC Skis. Still got the E89, E99, E109 (all Xtralite, wax or bones), and the S-bound line has expanded and now called: Traverse 78, Excursion 88, S-Bound 98, 112 and 125 (all in bones only). The numbers of the s-bound line represent the width of the tip. Hope that makes sense! Keep it real.
I live for the Telemark arc....The feeeeeeel.....I ski miles to get to a place where there is guaranteed snow to do the deal....TM

Woodserson wrote:I would say less. I can squeeze them shut, but they take more effort than the SBound 88s-- layed out on the table they are definitely higher too. I want to say camber and 1/2, but eh.... they flatten out nice underfoot. Certainly stiffer under the boot than the 88's. I wish they had the EZ Skin system set up. It would be a killer combo.
Great comparison, thanks! Do you mean you squeeze the two outtabounds (189) together completely shute with one hand? that would sound like single camber to me. If theres a little gap left then, yeah, 1.5 would sound right (not super precise, but enough for me!). I can compare with my Boundless wax when i receive them. i friend has the s-bound 98 in the same length.

do you see yourself using the outtabounds more on the down or on the flats now that you have tried them?

Thanks....Outtabounds....(88)....liked them some but didn't care for the way they would go into dips in the bush....then launch me into a superman dive when they went straight in....Gave both sets bought at different times to Telekid who skied them really well and liked them a lot.....Rebounds seemed to flex and ride up the dips which made for a really easily turned ski but very breakable....Telerock, Teleking and I all broke them and now have different sets at different lengths....King rides a 189 and a 179.....Have to say it doesn't make much difference as I did the same for a year or two.....We have the waxable boundless for deep powder....They came in handy last year for the kid and King.....I think Telesven has all of them.....The 112 is skied by Teleroll....My opinion is that any ski that goes much wider than the Outta is reducing its cruising ability by a lot....But the benefit is in the down....King, Kid and Rock have the Rossi bc 90, which seems a bit stiffer than the Outtas but the same dimension.....Have to say I much prefer the e109's to all of them....Snow squall and I have to head soon....Mikie mike are you referring to LJ, perhaps?......He ain't gonna womp a freedom loving free spirit full of love like me.....That would be like banning himself.....Dream on Mike.....If I were you I'd be watching your back....TM

Little gap with one hand, totally closed with two.

Not sure yet, I have no opportunity to wax them up and take them for a flat tour spin. I'm sure they would be nice, I don't know why they wouldn't they have a great springiness to them. The intent of the purchase was for downhill skiing at a resort without chewing up my scales.

Maybe I'm missing the humor here, but what are you threatening to do to Mike? I honestly try to give the benefit of the doubt to people that I don't know, but with you, one has to deal with racism, condescension, and now threats? Please tell me I'm off-base here.

It didn't go unnoticed but I need to ban myself for a little while. Forum BS has gotten the better of me, and probably why I've been acting so squirrely for the last couple days.

I'm pretty sure we have a Ronnabe impostor in our midst as well, maybe two... and well, I just can't deal with it right now.

I'm going to slip back into the shadows for now and stop drifting threads and saying weird things... hahaha... hope you guys get some snow!

Jesum Cryban....thought we were getting on so well....There was a veritable love fest....How did it come to name calling....Bummer.....Mike has made a good decision, sweet dreams.....As far as old s bounds they were a breath of fresh air when they came out.....But without waxable my feeling is that they have taken a strange turn....In order to turn well you have to have some speed....Faster you go the faster you will come around....then again if your on a 99 you initiate and wait....They will come around but at their own speed as if they had a mind of their own....That's why I can't understand why they put built in skins and do not make waxables....Slow down and don't come around...TM

Thanks for you sharing your experience with the S-bounds. Agreed about the widers and their loss of cruising ability, however i mostly attribute that do them having a nearly 30mm sidecut and being lesser cambered. How fascination for the e109 has got me looking out for a pair for myself. what size do you like (but you'd also have to disclose your weight). See u in the snow.
