Terry knee deep in the Carson Range - Nevada

Last Sunday in Nevada just outside of Reno, a "Tonopah Low" storm came out of the northeast and dropped 2 feet of high desert powder on the Carson Range (a subrange of the Sierra Nevada - it forms the east wall of Lake Tahoe). Here is a photo of Terry from Reno knee deep in the stuff...

Looks a bit intimidating, but an easy climb:


Sunny and mid-to-high 60's. Still a little ice on north facing slopes but not much. Not sure there was much snow at all down here:



Gore Mtn, about 20 miles straight away to the center of the photo still had snow on its trails. Was easily visible by eye.

Typical southern NY ski hill - 600' vert, 25 degrees for 200', 10 degrees for the rest ... oh, and no snow...

Well... it appears he is trying to stab that Dolphin

But, I know he doesn't eat meat, so that couldn't be the reason
