Score! Wool Pants $25

I just received these pants from Coleman's Military Surplus. I followed their listed sizing. I am a 32 x 32 relaxed fit jean, and I ordered a medium. They are dress quality, but a heavy wool, as thick or thicker than a Carhart pant. My last pair of wool pants ( Australian Army ) disappeared, I think these are thicker, and well made.
I am stoked! Hoping for snow

YEAH! Woodserson the Woolyson approves! Are they tight? I'm a 32/33 give or take.

I just went and put them back on. I tucked my crewneck sweatshirt inside. With the sweatshirt the waist buttons pulled snug. I did a few knee bends to double check movement. The waist stretched a bit, and I think I would definitely wear a belt. There are some D-rings for suspenders on the inside, but I would not know where to find matching suspenders. They are a pleated front, there is lots of room in the crotch and thighs. They are a straight leg, and the lower leg fits a bit more snug. I think they will fit nice under gaiters. They would not be short for a 33" length. I believed they are designed to be worn a bit higher on the waist than blue jeans. I guess if somebody got larger across the middle you could go up a size.

Sounds like they were sized for a starving, communist German.

At my thinnest I can only fit a 34" waist. I might need the West German pair...

I skied these pants at the resort this weekend. You would have no trouble with a 33" waist. I thought about poking another hole in my belt, They weren't overly loose, just a little looser than what I normally wear.
I am very happy with these pants. I decided to wear these pants because it was a little warm, mid to upper thirties, I figured they would breath better than my nylon . They are warm, but they breathed well, nothing wet and sweaty this weekend. I was skiing with my son, he is in his first year with his own skis. He made some nice turns this weekend, and I was impressed with his progress; and we had a great time! My plan was to ski the Anses USGI skis and leathers on the easy blues and greens. I had a couple decent runs before the snow just slushed out, 4" of dry slush, but heavy and grabby. Not the ideal conditions for me and those skis, I wasn't slicing and dicing like Teleman. I was on my butt about 10 times in five runs. The pants were awesome! They shed the snow and slush like treated nylon. Water beaded off, an older pair of gloves that have never leaked soaked thru. The pants were dry and comfortable.
I was worried about shoddy communist workmanship. That was not the case. I guess this prove that when the government controls an economy, while people some peole may go without, those in control do well.
