Fun Find
So, our local transfer station has a "Re-Use" shed where people can drop off and/or take things that you no longer want but some one else might rather then just throwing it into the landfill.
I stop in occasionaly and 99% of the time I find nothing of interest, but on that 1% day, I find something.
The other day I saw a fanny pack that was sitting unzipped on the shelf and inside were several tubes and sticks of swix wax. I zipped it up and took it with me. A couple days later I finally got around to seeing what I had.
Along with the wax were several pages folded inside a zip lock bag.
The pages were taken out of an old EMS winter catalog from the winter of 1977/78. It turns out the whole thing is a time capsule from that year. The wax, the pages, even the waist pack itself is vintage EMS.
The warranty information gives that date,
winter of 1977/78.
Read the decsriptions of these skis, not exanctly "selling" the product
Love the bindings.
Volks Wagon ski rack!
I lovett!

Re: Fun Find
That's awesome my wife skis on those exact Skan waxless! We got them a few years ago from a relative, they sat in the rafters of there garage for decades. They work great. My shorty bush ski XC setup still has Greshoppa bindings, there really supportive. Cool share thanks.

Reminds me of 80's Radio Shack catalogs with 20 mb hard disks on sale at 5000$...
Ok, I think I need a pair of every single ski made before 1988...
Lovett! (It sounds like a nice nickname for the wife... : )
