Switching to NTN / binding hole patten

Hello,

I'm switching to NTN this year after an ankle injury. It's the tipping point for me to get a releasable binding ...

I currently have 2 pairs of skis, mounted with G3 Enzo and HH Axl. Are the Rottefella using the same mounting pattern ? In the affirmative can I install NTNs in the same holes ?

Hey Fred,

Nah, you're gonna have to drill some new holes...
Just make sure to plug the unused holes and use plenty of epoxy with the small NTN screws..

None of my business, but if releasability is your main concern, you should switch to 7TM instead... Cheaper, MUCH better release mechanism, and you don't have to buy new boots... 8-)

Don't forget NTN offers only catastrophic release, and you can't change the release settings without affecting the way they ski...

Also Fred, you could just switch to the old Voile CRB.. They release pretty reliably as per/setting..
Not being made anymore, but I have several sets...yours for 125 bux and 10 shipping..perfect shape. :D

Thanks for the replies. I know that NTN is not a true DIN release system but better than what I have right now anyways.

Only problem with recommending 7tms and CRBs is that they're both out of production. So at best, you're dealing with new old stock or used bindings, and down the road parts will become more and more scarce. They're both good and capable bindings, but that's one of the reasons I've moved away from them.
