Mount Ascutney
No it's not going to re-open, at least not as a ski area, but the town voted to purchase the 470 acres and buildings to prevent it from being broken up into parcels and a bunch of luxury homes being built. Instead they are going to keep it as a natural recreational area hoping that it will attract people to visit and bring a boost to the local economy
Town agrees to buy former ski area

WEST WINDSOR — Residents here have approved the purchase of 470 acres of the former Ascutney Mountain ski area to protect the property from development.
The Valley News reports the town will pay $600,000 for the resort property, which closed in 2010. West Windsor’s conservation fund will put up $50,000 and the rest will be raised by a national nonprofit group, Trust for Public Land. Voters approved the measure Tuesday.
The Select Board said the purchase is an opportunity to transform West Windsor from a ski resort town to one with diverse recreational opportunities, including mountain biking, cross-country skiing, horseback riding and hiking.
The resort property abuts a 1,340-acre town forest.
