Yep, I guess that's the price to pay to see what's underneath the flextor... Or I should say, what is not there... Well, the touring pin is still there so there must be a redesigned red stick somewhere...
I'm super excited about this... Just as much excited as I was when 7TM first announced the Power Pin and the step-in heels...

I love the idea of the easy step-in/out, but its one thing to align the pins with the toe holes on a workbench, its entirely different in real life. can someone with experience with this side-pin setup comment? seems like it would be frustrating

Let's just say that with any low tech toe, practicing in your basement before going to the slopes is not a bad idea.
I'm good at it now, but had a few problems at first. When you (remember to) raise the platform before putting the toe down, if you are close to that angle on your boot, when you push down, it engages pretty consistently. Too much heel up and it doesn't engage as well.
Yep, any tech toes will require a small amount of practice, especially since there is no standard for inserts placement between boots and bindings manufacturers... But that's nothing really...
And that's the beauty about the M3... It looks even easier since the flextor can now be flat when stepping in... Just look at the video once again... It's beautiful...

do the brakes stay engaged until your toe is in? with my Rotefellas, the brakes release when I try to get my toe in, so of course the ski slides forward.....
The brake system on the Meidjo is not unlike the Freerides... You have to flatten them with your boots first, and then engage the toes... I have to say that if you plan to use brakes on the Meidjos, you will definitely need to practice at home first before your first day on the snow...

I've been practicing with the 3.0 in the basement. Brakes do make it a bit harder but the toe is pretty easy to engage. My issue is that I cannot step in like this. I have to pre-load it to get the second heel to engage. It's like my duck butt is slightly too long or the springbox is too stiff to move back and engage the butt.
