Yeah and that was before climbing wires. As far as your broken leg, it's probably better by now. My knees still give me problems.stilltryin wrote: ↑Wed May 05, 2021 1:12 pmWow. Thos XCD GT's climbed like the Dickens!

I get more excited about it now than I ever did Ian. Xc skiing in the great outdoors would be enough by itself, but add in the physical pleasure of the downhill and it's indescribably fantastic. The better you ski the better it feels.ᚠᚨᚱ ᚾᛟᚱᚦ ᛊᚲᛁᛖᚱ wrote: ↑Wed May 05, 2021 7:50 pmGood to know this doesn't get boring even after 30 years!

Happy Cinco De Mayo. I spent the day testing out the new Rottefella Xplore binding / Alpina Discovery 80 / Alpina Alaska XP. A lot to digest today. Stay tuned for my thoughts and some great video.

Got a chance to bike / ski tomorrow. One of the park rangers came in to the restaurant this last weekend and said they had plowed Trail Ridge road up to turn 5. And it’s open to bikes/pedestrians. Biking until I hit snow, then putting the skis on and going until I make it to Milner Pass.
Caught up to the plow at Lake Irene, transitioned to skis, took off pushing hard with the plow behind me, was pretty windy and my thighs started cramping so I could only get one small slope in and had to head back much slower, got some dirty looks by the equipment operators since they had to stop to let me pass. This has been an “On the Bucket List” for 10 years!

Re: Pictures, pictures and pictures!
We got about a foot of heavy snow yesterday. There's still in a 6ft+ base in many areas.
