Re: Gaiters and Over-boots ?
As far as sizing goes, my Yetis fit the boots well but come up to center of my kneecaps! A Minor annoyance, but when they're cinched it creates a little bit of a loose fit, In some conditions I've simply rolled them down a couple of inches...my boots are 42-43 and the gaitors are large size.
As far as old Steve Komito, there was a story about him in the Estes Park newspaper not long ago, he's still cobbling, and hobbling around town, last summer I talked to him over at the Safeway grocery as we were headed out to the park.

I can't even begin to count the number of my boots, tele boots, and climbing shoes he's resoled over the last 40 years! Some more than once, and even resoled a pair of Teva sandals for me, I think as a joke, but nicely done. Bought my first pair of leather double climbing boots at his former big old shop on Davis hill in 1978...could talk about him for hours, what a great guy.
